As a mother of two, I know that having the best post-delivery care can have a great impact on your postpartum healing journey
My journey to becoming a doula was birthed out by experiencing a miscarriage. Then, I battled the emotional fatigue of infertility. Finally, after conceiving again I was able to give birth to my beautiful baby girl. However, I suffered from postpartum depression.
After triumphing over postpartum depression, I knew that I wanted to support other moms who share a similar story with the stressors of trying to conceive and dealing with the complications of high risk pregnancies.
I became a Postpartum Doula to help families create harmony and balance after birth. My goal is to promote health and wellbeing to new moms, experienced moms, and families seeking support after birth.
I received my certificate of training in Postpartum Doula care and am currently continuing my education as a birth worker. I have a Master's Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Organization.
My mission is to promote healthy healing in families as well as offer support and guidance during the fourth trimester.
"It was such a pleasure to have Latoya as my postpartum doula. I was alone at the hospital and my family could not make it until the weekend. Latoya came and stayed with me and my baby while I rested. After I was discharged, she came to my home and continue to take care of me by allowing me to rest and heal. I am forever grateful for your care and compassion."
"Latoya was a great help to me after the delivery of my son. After I was discharged from the hospital after, she came to m home and allowed me to continue my healing through rest and peace of mind. She kept things in order, made sure I took my medication as prescribed. She educated me on how to care for myself and my baby while healing from a C-section. "
